I have been bringing all three of my dogs here for almost 5 years now and I have to say they have the friendliest staff. I have never had any problems. I have seen all the vets at one time or another and they are very knowledgeable and honest. Today I called worried about one of my pups and within 5 minutes the women on the phone had not only calmed me down but made a game plan. I really appreciate the staff!
Beware when getting your dog groomed here! I have a Mini Australian Shepard that I took here to get groomed because the other groomer I go to was booked. His vet is here so I felt comfortable going to Elm Point as an alternative option. However, My dog's coat is completely ruined. When I dropped him off I spoke to the groomer and specifically said that I wanted a light trim around the belly, the back, and the legs since it was getting just slightly too long. She showed me that they were only going to cut off about a half inch and I agreed as I know that an Aussie should NEVER BE SHAVED. Aussie's have a specific coat (an outer coat and an inner coat) Both working together to keep them safe from summer heat and cool winters. Someone picked him up for me so I was unaware of what he looked like after he was groomed. If I was there I would have refused to pay as his coat has now been permanently ruined. His coat will never grow back the same, especially since the inner coat grows faster than the outer. Dogs with double coats have very sensitive skin which is why they should never be shaved, I am very concerned about this heading into the summer months, he is very active outdoors and I will have to be even more cautious about his time in the sun. I am blown away that the groomers here are not educated enough in their field to know NOT TO SHAVE HIM. My family has been taking their dogs to Dr. Lang for years. I, without hesitation, started bringing my dog here as soon as I got him. I will NEVER bring my dog back here because of this one experience. Not only to the groomer but to the vet either. I no longer trust that anyone here knows what they are doing and I worry that my dogs beautiful coat will never be the same.
Took my 2 cats in for a new patient appointment to look at overall health. It was a bit of a wait to get them in and they aren't like my last vet that let's them out of their boxes in the room to roam while we wait for them to come in. The vet was very nice, personable and answered all of my questions. Was very gental with my cats during the exam. I'll be coming back for everything my kitties need.
First visit for toe nail clipping. Had appointment. Put in room forgot us, for over one hour. My dog got so nervous we got up and walked out. They did do the clipping and apologized. Second visit had appointment no problem. Told me I would have to have my old vet fax records. Did that called today to make appointment. Couldn't find our records. Vet's might be good but office staff I give a fail. Changed to new vet after one year with them.
My 5 star review is based on my experience with Dr Lange and the vet techs. They have always been wonderful with my dogs. We recently had to put down our sweet girl that we have been taking to Dr Lange for over 10 years. He did an in home visit so she would be more comfortable and we’ll forever be grateful for how caring both Dr Lange and the tech were. We really like Dr Georgevitch as well. She treated the same dog for several months and was great with her. I have noticed some of the office issues others have mentioned occasionally in regards to wait times and desk staff, but most of the time they are great as well.
